this summer i've been getting better at being late. this morning I told my sister, I WANT TO LEAVE AT 8:40AM, PACIFIC STANDARD TIME, ON JULY 11, 2010. (that is today) she agreed in her half-asleep stupor, and I being the efficient human being that I am, set out to get ready and be ready to leave at 8:40am.
at approximately 8:30am, my dear sister rolled out of bed, and at approximately 8:42am, i was ready to leave.
she was ready at approximately 8:52am, 12 minutes late.
3. I HATE WHEN OTHER PEOPLE MAKE ME LATE.
despite the fact that i am frequently late, when I'm on time, and someone else makes me late? I. GO. NUTS. I HATE WALKING INTO THINGS LATE!! (except school) and when there's two people? PEOPLE BLAME IT ON THE OLDER PERSON!!! I'M ALWAYS THE OLDER PERSON!! how is this fair?! why does the oldest sibling ALWAYS GET THE BLAME??? NOT FAIR!!
when i say i want to leave the house at 8:40am, I MEAN 8:40AM! AND I WAS EVEN TWO MINUTES LATE TODAY! BUT NO! YOU DECIDE TO BE 12 MINUTES LATE AND MAKE BOTH OF US LATE!! I HATE THIS!
DO YOU KNOW WHAT AN ALARM CLOCK IS? I USE ONE!! YOU SHOULD TOO!
therefore, I must confess how much i hate when other people make me late. hypocritical? yes. but seriously, being late sucks, but it sucks 958765434567890 times more when someone else is the reason.
what a glorious day it is when you are on time! and when your buddy is on time too! then you can go frolic in rainbow fields, and find treasures hidden in parking lots, and sing at the top of your lungs. but when you're late you can do none of this. that is reason enough to hate it.
Okay. I hate this too.
ReplyDeleteIt was such a thing for my family, esp going to church, that we called it HST.
(My last name starts with an H)
So. Last Name Standard Time.
And then it happened to every other family in my church who's last name starts with H.
Maybe I've plagued you?
