in high school I showered every single night without fail. I dont think I ever missed a night. I just never missed a night. no matter what time I got home or what I had done that day, I was always in the shower before my head hit the pillow. I woke up the next morning with hot mess hair that I straightened and then I was off to the dungeon we call high school. in fact, my mom reminded me to shower every night without fail, and still does when I go home over breaks. I realize that this post makes it sound like she should continue to remind me, but come on: I am 19 years old. I am a big girl. I can handle my showering.
what I cant stand about those late nights is when you wake up in the morning to shower, blow dry hair and straighten it. don't get me wrong: I LOVE FRESHLY BLOW-DRYED AND STRAIGHTENED HAIR. seriously if it didn't take me so long to do it, I'd shower in the mornings and blow dry and straighten my hair. I sound SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO high maintenance. This is what i look like when i dont straighten my hair:

Get the picture? none of these are cute. Especially the last two. scroll back up and look at them... you know you want to... go, do it again....... ha ha ha ha, ha, ga ha ha, ha ha ha haha, ha
anyway
so lately I've been showering in the morning and did-ing my hair then. but here is the problem: some mornings I dont get up in time to shower.... and i look like the spawn of dirty satan all day long.....

Now you understand. so WHAT TO DO?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!
go through my whole day feeling akin to a sloth monster until the sweet release:
caption: Oh look at me showering, I'm so happy laughing while I suds up my golden tresses, oh me oh my why can't life always be this beautiful, cats and lollipops and rainbows and clean hair
Guess where I am today?
It doesnt help that my hair is thicker than mollasses. I just googled "thick things" to try and come up with a good metaphor or simile and it autocorrected to "thick thighs". MY EYES!!! I definitely lost my innocence just now.
I'm done. I need a shower.
